The ODFS Dropped Foot Stimulator was developed at the Odstock Hospital in Salisbury,England, and has been successfully used by patients in Europe since 1988. Through NDI Medical’s efforts, the ODFS Dropped Foot Stimulator received FDA clearance in 2005. In 2007, Odstock Medical was founded in the UK to commercialize the Stimulator, along with other products. More recently, NDI Medical decided to no longer carry the product and has transferred distribution and part replacement responsibilities to Ackofin, Inc.
Ackofin, Inc. maintains ties with NDI Medical. This close relationship will help maintain continuity of coverage for ODFS users.
